The launch of the Health Insurance Fund in Nigeria

On 24 January 2007 the Health Insurance Fund launched its first program in Nigeria together with the local partner Hygeia, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PharmAccess. The launch was carried out by Nigeria’s President Obasanjo. On 25 and 26 January 2007 the program was launched in Kwara State and Lagos. Since the launch the members of the target groups have started to enroll in the Community Health Plan.
